Robert, one of our guests, wanted to make sure that a flag was up on our Hastings Crossroads Mission Avenue flagpole in honor of Memorial Day. He purchased a flag himself, along with new rope and a light. However, he ran into a big problem when he was unable to find a ladder tall enough so that he could safely get up high enough to set up the flag. Seeing the firefighters at the Hastings Fire Department, outside taking care of their trucks and equipment, he decided to walk over and find out if they’d be able to help him out. He was delighted to find out they were willing and happy to lend a hand….and a ladder to accomplish the task! Thank you to Robert and the Hastings Fire Department for helping us honor our Veterans on Memorial Day!
