Go Big GIVE Day is here! Through your previous participation, Grand Island Crossroads Mission Avenue was able to provide supportive services to 327 men last year, with 34% of those guests moving on to sustainable housing situations!
At the Mission, the 4-Phase Recovery Program provides training in personal resilience for each guest, along with personalized case management to meet their individual needs. Grand Island guest Sean admits, “I was pretty much [at] rock bottom, and I was ordered to come here through probation to provide structure and the other services that they have.” Finding the support and training he needed to make changes in his life, Sean says, “I kind of say things that were insurmountable mountains before me have become just molehills that are easily navigated on my path now. And I owe that to Crossroads. It really helped me a lot here with getting myself right and being a normal person again. And I believe now that if you have the will to change, and you come to Crossroads, God’s going to give you the strength and courage to do that.”
Your generous donation to Grand Island Crossroads Mission Avenue through Go Big GIVE Day again this year will help men like Sean who are struggling and need the guidance and stability that Crossroads is able to provide through safe, sober, sanitary, supportive housing and programming. Sean pleads with you, “Donate generously! I mean, you’re helping somebody. And you’re helping someone here in the States, in your hometown, that wants to be a productive citizen and appreciates the generosity of others. Really, the people that make this happen are amazing. They really deserve all the credit. If we put forth the effort to better ourselves, and they can assist us to do that, that’s priceless.“
At Crossroads Mission Avenue, we agree with Sean! Your donation will help our neighbors get back on their feet, helping guests like Sean find the support they need to experience healing and recovery at the Grand Island Mission! Please consider a donation to Crossroads Mission Avenue through Go Big GIVE Day this year at www.gobiggive.org/organization/CrossroadsMissionAvenue. Crossroads cares. Together, we can help.
